On November 29, Mr. Wang Enge, former president of Peking University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to visit the head office of Wellhope and give a lecture on The Role of Basic Science in the Development of High-Tech. Several leaders from Shenyang Development and Reform Commission, Liaoning Province Securities Regulatory Commission and Association of Liaoning Listed Companies, some managers from listed companies of Liaoning Province, attended the lecture.

From quantum mechanics to the development of semiconductor materials, from the evolution of integrated circuits to the construction of an information-based society, Academician Wang Enge talked about the large number of applications of science and technology in modern industries through a series of cases, confirming the importance of physics in this ever-changing society, and reminding us to focus on the development of science and technology and actively promote the depth of integration with the industrial chain, accelerating the commercialization of sci-tech results to create a better future.

After the lecture, Mr. Jin Weidong, the Chairman of Wellhope expressed his sincere thanks to Mr. Wang Enge, he said: "Academician Wang Enge's lecture has expanded our horizons and opened our minds". Mr. Jin shared his three insights: First, physics is omnipotent, and the development of physics can solve all kinds of problems faced by people. Second, physics is everywhere, which can simplify and idealize all kinds of things, and find solutions from the root. Thirdly, the sea of knowledge is so vast that we need to learn humbly, no matter which industry there is a huge space for improvement, and the gap and potential coexist.
