Wellhope Foods Co., Ltd., founded in April 1995, has grown into a leading company in the livestock industry. Its core businesses span feed production and raw material trading, broiler integration, and swine farming, complemented by operations in animal health products, smart farming equipment, international business, pet healthcare, and food processing.

Today, Wellhope runs more than 200 subsidiaries across China, with products sold in 32 provincial-level regions and in overseas markets. The company has established production facilities in several Belt and Road countries, such as Nepal, Indonesia and the Philippines. In October 2006, Wellhope entered into a strategic partnership with Royal De Heus, a century-old Dutch feed company, enhancing its R&D capabilities, strengthening management practices, and broadening access to international resources. 

On August 8, 2014, Wellhope was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange with the stock code 603609.

  • 2024

    Wellhope-sponsored Liaoning Shenbei Women’s Football Team won the China Women’s League One title and advanced to the Women’s Super League, with eight players selected for the national team.

  • 2020

    All Wellhope people overcame the difficulties and actively tackled the challenges such as the African swine fever, the downtrend in the broiler market and low demand. Performance reached a new high, the Company's 25th anniversary was successfully celebrated, and the lean management reached a new level.

  • 2019

    Wellhope and its partners slaughtered 524 million broilers and processed 1.34 million tons of meat together, becoming the largest producer across the country and top 10 in the world;
    Revenue realized by Wellhope's holding and associated companies surpassed CNY 40 billion and net profit attributable to the parent company broke CNY 1 billion;
    Swine raising project in the Philippines came into operation;
    Quickened the application of ERP and IRP systems in each business division;
    Won the second prize of National Award for Technological Invention;
    Received the Governor's Quality Award of Liaoning Province;

    Wellhope's holding and associated companies slaughtered over 450 million broilers together, becoming the largest producer in China;
    Initiated a joint venture PT. MULIA HARVEST AGRITECH in Indonesia;
    Introduced the performance excellence and lean management models;
    Ranked the 243rd among the China's Top 500 Private Enterprises.

  • 2017

    Founded a joint venture PT Sekar Golden Harvesta in Indonesia;
    Proposed and set up Green Broiler Food Industrial Alliance in Liaoning Province;
    Received the Mayor's Quality Award of Shenyang city.

  • 2016

    Successively launched swine raising business nationwide;
    Established a joint venture Golden Harvesta in the Philippines and a joint venture in Russia respectively;
    Received another second prize of National Award for Science and Technology Progress;
    Won the award of Top 100 Most Valuable Corporations of Chinese public companies.

  • 2015

    Started to operate pet clinic business by launching several clinics named Petmate;
    Held a grand ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

  • 2014

    On August 8, Wellhope succeeded in its Initial Public Offering on the Shanghai Stock Exchange;
    Wellhope Feed Industrial Park located in Pingfang District of Harbin was put into use;
    Wellhope's central laboratory had been accredited as National Laboratory by CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment);
    Designated May 29 as annual Corporate Celebration Day.

    Wellhope's food plant was put into operation, marking the startup of food business division;

    Revenue registered a record of over CNY 10 billion;
    Wellhope won the second prize of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress for the first time.

    Launched E-Learning College to further focus on employees' upskilling and career development.

  • 2009

    Cooperated with Jiuguhe Company Group to further expand broiler integration business;
    Wellhope feed Industrial Park located in Liaozhong County of Shenyang went into operation;
    Applied ERP system in the feed business division, entering a new phase of IT management.

  • 2008

    Wellhope formally initiated broiler integration business;
    Launched "Sunflower" training program tailored for middle-level managers;
    Wellhope's credibility has been widely recognized by the society;
    For the first time, it has obtained a credit loan of CNY 430 million from a foreign bank-RABOBANK NETHERLANDS;
    Approved as one of the national high-tech enterprises.

  • 2007

    Wellhope Feed Industrial Park located in Gongzhuling city was put into operation;
    Based on the donation of the management team, Wellhope set up its own charitable fund named "Wings of Love", which was primarily used for rewarding and aiding employees.

  • 2006

    The new office building of Wellhope headquarters was completed and Wellhope Feed Industrial Park located in Shenbei New District of Shenyang began to take shape;
    Officially entered into a joint venture with the Netherlands' Royal De Heus Company;
    The brand "Wellhope" was honored as China's famous trademark;
    The 7 cofounders in turn donated part of their shares and invited 25 talented managers to become the third group of shareholders.

    Initiated Nepal Wellhope Agri-tech Pvt. Ltd.
    Received the honor of national outstanding leading enterprise in agricultural integration industry;
    Held a big ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary.

  • 2004

    Explored oversea markets to start global layout;
    Entered farming equipment business.

  • 2003

    Invested feed mills in Dalian and Shenyang cities respectively;
    Completed the transformation of stock system;
    Developed the first ten-year strategic plan.

  • 2002

    Formally established the administrative structure consist of shareholders meeting, director board meeting, supervisory board meeting and management team;
    Constructed a feed mill in Shanghai to enter the Eastern China market.

  • 2001

    Aside from China's Northeast and Northwest regions, Wellhope built a feed mill in Beijing to further expand business into the central part of China;
    Invested a bio-pharmacy company to explore bio-tech business.

  • 2000

    Wellhope executed the first share award plan when its 7 cofounders donated part of their shares to 18 outstanding managers, making them the second group of shareholders and increasing the number of shareholders from 7 to 25.

  • 1999

    Built the first modernized feed mill in the High-Tech Zone of Shenyang Hunnan District;
    Established Expert Trading Company to venture into feed raw material trade business;
    Launched official website.

  • 1998

    Wellhope took over Shenyang Tiandi Feed Company for further development of feed business;
    Implemented objective-oriented management in the company.

  • 1997

    Invested a feed mill in Haicheng city;
    Expanded business to Northwest China by establishing a feed mill in Xi'an city;
    Became the biggest premix producer in Northeast China.

  • 1996

    Started to produce concentrated and compound feed, set up feed mills in Gongzhuling, Lingyuan and Xingcheng cities respectively.

  • 1995

    Chairman Weidong Jin invited other six like-minded founders through a poem to initiate Wellhope and started premix business.
