The first-ever global conference on sustainable livestock transformation hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations(FAO) was kicked off on September 25. The conference centered on the four themes of "Better Production, Better Nutrition, Better Environment, Better Life". Mr. Jin Weidong, Chairman of Wellhope, was invited to attend this conference and gave a speech on "Animal Welfare and Efficiency - Pursuits Not Contradictory".

Chairman Jin Weidong started his speech in English and gave a keynote speech in his native language as required, expressing the viewpoint that people respect the life, love and freedom of animals, and emphasizing that "freedom" does not only mean moving around freely, but also should be expressed in letting animals come into contact with the nature, the sun, and the wind. He said, " Not only do animals and plants rely on the wind to send sexual signals and pollination, in fact, the wind also makes people "sex" excited, but also makes people vigorous." At the end of his speech, he skillfully used the first letters of Welfare and Efficiency to form WE, implying that animal welfare and production efficiency are not "you and I" but "we". It is entirely possible to pursue together, promote each other and realize a win-win situation.

The speech was simultaneously interpreted in six official languages of the United Nations. The vivid and humorous speech of Chairman Jin received warm applause, and his distinctive and unique viewpoints were recognized and affirmed by the delegates from various countries, and the Swiss expert, Iva, quoted his viewpoints many times when summarizing the conference. China's voice, China's insights once again sang on the international stage. We are convinced that China's livestock industry will be better known in the world in the future, and make greater contributions to the improvement of peoples’ living standards and physical health.
