During the visit, the delegation toured Wellhope’s exhibition hall, the broiler processing plant, and the Shenyang Huakang Xinxin Cooked Food Processing Base, gaining first-hand insight into the Company’s integrated value chain spanning feed production, broiler farming, slaughtering, food processing and export operations. The delegation asked detailed questions about quality control for raw broiler products, export qualifications and customs requirements, as well as Wellhope’s capacity to supply overseas markets. They also showed particular interest in the standardized, large-scale and fully integrated operating model.

High-level strategic cooperation meeting

Building on the opportunities presented by RCEP and the ASEAN market, and in line with Wellhope’s global development strategy, the two sides held forward-looking, in-depth discussions on launching exports of raw broiler products to Malaysia and pursuing joint industrial development in Malaysia.

Qiu Jiahui, President of the Company, extended a warm welcome to the Malaysian Ambassador and his delegation. He noted that Wellhope has long pursued its vision of becoming a global service provider across the broiler food supply chain, with international expansion serving as a key driver of the Company’s long-term growth. Wellhope’s raw broiler products are now exported to markets around the world, supported by increasingly well-established international operations. As a major consumer market within ASEAN, Malaysia has strong demand for high-quality raw broiler products, which Wellhope is well positioned to supply, making it a highly promising market for the Company. The regulatory approval procedures for Wellhope’s exports of raw broiler products to Malaysia are currently underway. The Company will work to streamline the entire process from customs clearance and cold-chain logistics to local distribution, while steadily expanding bilateral trade in broiler products. Over the longer term, Wellhope plans to forge a close strategic partnership with ARG Group. Drawing on complementary strengths in industrial capabilities, distribution channels and local resources, Wellhope and ARG Group plan to establish integrated broiler farming and processing operations in Malaysia. The cooperation will bring together Chinese know-how, local production in Malaysia and ASEAN-wide distribution, creating a cross-border model for industrial collaboration. The two sides aim to make the project a benchmark for China–Malaysia cooperation in the agriculture, livestock and food sectors and deliver lasting value for both parties.

The Ambassador noted that China and Malaysia enjoy longstanding economic and trade ties and that their agricultural sectors are highly complementary. He said the Malaysian authorities would actively coordinate and facilitate the launch of Wellhope’s raw broiler product exports to Malaysia, help streamline bilateral trade procedures, remove barriers to cooperation and further strengthen bilateral trade in food and agricultural products. He also expressed the hope that the visit would serve as a starting point for deeper cooperation and help promote closer collaboration across the broiler farming and food-processing value chains in both countries.

Going forward, Wellhope will continue to expand its international presence, drawing on its strengths across the entire value chain to deepen trade and industrial cooperation with Malaysia and other ASEAN countries. Through high-quality broiler products and closer partnerships, Wellhope aims to foster closer people-to-people ties between China and Malaysia, promote greater collaboration and sustainable growth across ASEAN’s broiler industry, and contribute to broader international cooperation based on mutual benefit and shared prosperity.
